Junior Achievement Biztown Simulation

Organized by ABSA (Atlanta Business School Alliance)

Meet fellow ABSA members and help bring the JA Biztown simulation to life by working directly with the students and providing an adult perspective.

Overview:

• Volunteers work alongside 5-8 middle school students as they run a simulated business
• Students will have completed classroom lessons about career readiness, the economy and starting a business before coming to JA Biztown
• Students will be assigned specific roles such as working at Starbucks or running a Chick-Fil-A
• Volunteers will act as 'sounding boards' for the students, providing guidance and supports as they operate their simulated businesses for the day
• JA staff will provide training and guidance to volunteers at the start of the day

Agenda:

• 8am: Arrival & check-in
• 8.30am: Training
• 10am: Simulation start
• 12pm: Lunch break
• 2.45pm: Debrief
