Session Information:
In an increasingly competitive market environment, companies lose pricing power. Drawing on a wide variety of examples from different businesses, this session will explore differentiation options ranging from product to buying experience to intangibles to service to solutions to cost and value innovation to “free”. The objective of this session is to get participants to take a hard look at their business situation and assess where the differentiation opportunities lie.
Professor Information:
Professor Lakshman Krishnamurthi is the A. Montgomery Ward Professor of Marketing and is also the Academic Director of the executive program on Pricing Strategies and Tactics. His research addresses the impact of price and advertising on consumer purchase decisions, particularly in the estimation of price elasticity in brand choice and quantity purchased. He also studies strategy related to customer advantage, branding, segmentation and new products. His scholarship has earned him numerous awards, including the prestigious John D.C. Little Award for best paper.
